Green Desks With Cozmo
Abstract
In this Bachelor Semester Project (BSP), the objective is to use Cozmo, a small anthropomorphic robot, to create interaction with humans as well as plants. The domains of this project are Robotics, Software Development/Engineering as well as 3D Printing. The constraints are using the Cozmo SDK and Python as programming language. We will also explain the scientific background, which includes Software Engineering and Human-robot interactions, as well as the technical background which consists of Cozmo, Python and the 3D printer. The requirements of the project will be presented, as well as the design of the deliverables, including the 3D modelling of the plant pot that the robot can pick up, as well as the different activities that the robot will perform, like the robot giving the plant to the user, and finally the method used to perform plant recognition from Cozmo’s camera. Then the production of all this is explained, like how we setup the SDK and wrote the program, how we implemented the different activities required, how we printed the pot, etc. And finally we will talk about the assessment of the requirements: if the requirements were met or not.
