Bics Planted: Gardening Ios Application, For Horticulturally Hopeless Or Green-Fingered People
Abstract
As technology improves drastically every day, there is an increase in people relying on mobile devices to complete daily tasks. However, and despite the tendency to grow food at home, few are the mobile applications related to gardening in the market. Thus, with the objectives to create a simple to use and helpful application, in this project we present the specification, design and production of a new solution, created for the iOS platform, to assist people growing plants and vegetables. The qualities of the application are related to reusability, extensibility and usability, used in context with Human-Computer Interaction principles such as learnability and aesthetics of user interfaces. Likewise, the application has been developed by following a model-view-controller architectural pattern to allow an efficient code reusability, in combination with Software Engineering principles such as separation of concerns and anticipation of change. At the end of this project, we present the assessment by evaluating the completeness of the application based on the specification.
